The Problem
Skana Robotics โ a private company operating in the defense-tech space โ needed a printed brochure to hand to potential clients and partners at a trade show. The core challenge was translation: complex robotic systems needed to become legible at a glance, without oversimplifying to the point of losing credibility with a technically sophisticated audience.
The Result
A printed brochure built to represent Skana Robotics at trade shows and in direct conversations with potential clients โ grounded, legible, and visually distinct from typical defense-sector materials.
The Approach
I built custom graphs and icons to break down complicated systems into something scannable, treating data visualization as the core of the piece rather than a supporting element. For the layout, I moved away from a conventional, grid-straightforward brochure structure toward something more deliberate โ every element grounded from the bottom up, with generous negative space giving the density of information room to breathe rather than feel dense.I also built the opener in four color variants, giving Ox Security the flexibility to color-code by topic if they chose to.
